[TUTORIAL] How to set up/use Mani

In this tutorial, I will try to describe how you set up Mani, and how you can use it to moderate your server.


PART ONE

Firstly, you need to go on your server. You won't be admin if you have just installed it, so first, we need to make you admin.

Connect to your server. You will need the console. Firstly, type "status" without the quotes, obviously. You will see a whole load of information on all the players on the server. Look for your name and grab your SteamID. It will look like this: STEAM_X:X:XXXXXXXX
Copy that, you will need it later.
Now login to Rcon. Read the tutorial on Rcon if you do not know how to do this.

Now the three steps to make yourself a basic admin are simple.

First, type this in the console:
rcon ma_client addclient "your EXACT name"

Then type this:
rcon ma_client addsteam "your EXACT name again" "the steamid you copied earlier goes here"

Finally, type this:
rcon ma_client setaflag "your EXACT name AGAIN" +client

Okay, thats that done. You are now a powerful admin.

To bring up your admin menu, type in the console: admin

Bind this to a key for quick access in games. In console: "bind "key_of_choice" "admin"

Oh dear... there is only one option and that is Client Options. Quite lame if you ask me. Go into that and click Update a client.

Choose your name, and then go to Set Personal Flags.

The select Admin.

Click Set All Flags. That is Full Admin.

Now go back one box and click Immunity, instead of Admin.

Click Set All Flags once again.

Now you are a SuperAdmin, ready to moderate your server.



PART TWO

In this part, I will explain what you can do with your new Admin Powers.

So, you will have noticed that your Admin Menu is now bigger. You have Player Management, Fun Player Management and everything.

If someone is disobeying your rules, then you can kick them by going to Admin Menu--> Player Management--> Kick Player. Choose their name and they're gone.

They can come back though. Banning a player gets rid of them for a certain period of time. You can even ban permanently.
Go to Player Management--> Ban Player--> Choose the time to ban them for--> Choose the player - Oh look they are gone again!

You will want to look like a proper admin, so you need to be able to get your message heard.

Instead of: [USH] Delta_301: Stop using the AWP!!!

You can look this this: (ADMIN) [USH] Delta_301: Stop using the AWP!!!

That is the wrong colour it is more of an Aqua-Green colour but it doesn't matter too much. The colour looks cool.

The good thing about Admin Say is that you can be heard by the living if you are dead. If you are a Spectator your message can be heard by anyone in T or CT also.

However, I suggest not using it all the time. Only use it when you need to. If you use it all the time, people will think you might be showing off your powers.
"Oh look at me, I am an admin!" That sort of thing.

Now, you can admin abuse your players if you REALLY want to. I recommend you don't because people won't come back to your server if you do, lol.

Choose Fun Player Management, and you see you can Slap people, and generally have fun with them.
